The Mystery Dungeons you'll explore each have unique characteristics, including the Pokémon you'll find, the number of levels in the dungeon, and the types of terrain you'll have to deal with. Take a look at some of the early dungeons you'll navigate during your adventure!

Magnagates

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity introduces a new way to discover amazing locations wherever you go! Magnagates are gates into dungeons that you'll find everywhere you look in the real world! Activate the "Discover a Magnagate!" function and point the Nintendo 3DS camera at any round object, and you might locate an entrance to a Mystery Dungeon.

Keep your eye open for any round objects in the real world, such as DVDs or coins.

When the camera is trained on a round object, a Magnagate may open in the game!

Enter the unique dungeon to discover cool Pokémon and great items.

  • There are round objects all around you in the real world, and they may all lead to special dungeons in your game!
  • The achievements from the adventures in these Mystery Dungeons will be brought over to your main game.
  • Every time you capture a round object on screen, the dungeon beyond it will change!
  • Look for all sorts of round objects throughout everyday life.

With Magnagates, you're never far from an entrance to a dungeon you've never explored before! It's as simple as aiming your Nintendo 3DS system camera at a round object somewhere in the real world, and off you go into an amazing new dungeon—where you can play as a Pokémon other than your main character!
